Francis Catalano, né à Montréal en 1961 d'origine italienne, est poète, traducteur et essayiste.
Il a publié en poésie Romamor (Écrits des Forges, 1999), Index (Trait d’union, 2001) et M’atterres (Trait d’union, 2002), qui lui a valu d’être finaliste pour le prix Estuaire des Terrasses Saint-Sulpice et le prix F.A. Savard.
Un recueil intitulé Panoptikon est paru chez Triptyque en 2005. Il a traduit quelques recueils de poètes italiens contemporains dont Le Vase brisé de Valerio Magrelli (Éditions du Noroît, 2000) et Instructions pour la lecture d’un journal (Écrits des Forges, 2005).
Francis est également membre du comité de rédaction de la revue Exit et a participé au Festival Voix d'Amérique.

Francis Catalano was born of italian origin in Montréal in 1961, he is a poet, translator and essayist.
He has published several volumes of poetry: Romamor (Écrits des Forges, 1999), Index (Trait d’union, 2001) and M’atterres (Trait d’union, 2002), which was a finalist for the Terrasses St-Sulpice Prize of the journal Estuaire and the FA Savard Award.
In 2005, he published an anthology entitled Panoptikon (Triptyque). Francis has translated several volumes of contemporary Italian poetry, including Le Vase brisé by Valerio Magrelli (Éditions du Noroît, 2000) and Instructions pour la lecture d’un journal (Écrits des Forges, 2005).
Francis is also a member of the editorial board of the journal Exit and participated in Festival Voix d'Amérique.
